Ok...I thought I would try a topic like this...just to get an idea on what others drink...So I'll go first... Wink Lets see...lately I have been drinking Killian's Irish Red beer and I just tried a belgium beer called Stella Artois...it was ok... Grin I have been drinking Guinness beer a few months back. I've been trying a beer called Samual Adams...it's a wheat beer and they have like 21 or 22 types and I've been able to locate 11 of them so far!... Wink I also like the Irish whiskey called Jameson, Michael Collins,Bushmills and Tullamore Dew. Years ago I use to be a big drinker and could drink it straight and lots of it...lol But I guess I'm getting to old... Roll Eyes  I dont drink everyday , I like a cold beer after working outside and it's hot. And sometimes I'll drink a mixed drink after a meal... Cool So if it's not being nosey does anyone else have a drink they like? My wife drinks wine from time to time....and she like's the sweet stuff like Baileys or Kahlua or what they call B-52's...lol

Thank goodness we have speel check...lol If I'd posted it like I typed it you'd all think I was nippin at the bottle...lol    Shocked

Well, Randy you' ve been drinking Stella as we call it here? Heu, I like it, but I don't think it is the best Belgian beer. As a woman I can take it, but it are mostly men that suffer headaches from it. We don't get it, but is a sort of myth here in Belgium about it.
Most known is Jupiler, next we have Maes. But I like more the abbey beers like Leffe, escpecially the brown variaty and if you really want something to be knocked off your feet, try Duvel.
I prefer the darker beers. My favorite remains Guinness, although I come from a beer country. Please do not even try to drink all Belgian beers at once, you simply can't. I also like the local beer of Lier, the city were my husband got born. Here in Antwerp the city beer is Koninck.
I also like Kriek, which is a fruit flavored beer. But I am actually more of a wine drinker, especially red.

And also I like elixir and whisky if it comes the to heavier stuff. I just found out that there are also some brand of Belgian whisky, but I haven't tried them yet.

Well I don't drink much, but when I do I usually drink beer because it's what's usually avaliable at a party. I would have to say I prefer wine or liquor to beer but my beer faves are as follows:

Labbatt Blue
Molson Canadian
Vermont-Made Long Trail Blackbeary Wheat (brewed w/ real blackberries)!
Vermont-made Woodchuck Hard cider. (They have a granny-smith variety out right now I've been wanting to try).
Guiness sometimes, but mostly I've had Harp Lager made by the Guiness people.

Wine when it's avaliable:
anything white, red or rose...don't have a fave vintage, or type of grape yet. Wine is great for exploring different aromas, flavors and textures.

Liquor: whiskey is a fave, don't have a favorite brand yet. I've had Glenlivet 12-yr scotch, and Tyrconnel, Bushmills and Jameson's Irish whiskey.

I like rum too....any kind. a favorite drink is a "Haitain Kamakazie": gold rum, orange liquer, and lime juice.

I also like Bailey's and Frangelico, an Italian hazelnut liquer the two of them together is called an "Irish Monk".

So I realyl don't have a prefference of what I drink, so long as it's not too strong and I like the taste. '
And I have yet to try Mead....I've never been to a Renn Faire so I have yet to have the pleasure. Cry

I drink alcohol only occasionally, as I get drunk very easily. When I do drink, I only drink dessert drinks. I love ice wine, especially Hillebrand Trius Vidal, Lakeview Riesling, and Legends Vidal Grin.

Mead is very sweet since it comes from honey.  We have a friend who makes mead.  I like Magners better than anything else but I'm not much of a drinker.  By the way Magners is a hard cider from Ireland that is available in a few states.  Unfortunately, Texas isn't one of them.,

A friend of mine can drink most people under the table

She is female as well. I don't know anyone who can hold their liquor better than her.
