Favorite Bard Songs Podcast Coming...
Greetings Nagians
I hope you're having a great new year.
The Bards Podcasting has been hit a bit hard recently. Andrew is swamped with some big solo projects.
In an effort to keep things rolling, I decided I need start publishing a monthly newsletter to keep you up-to-date with some our Group plans and accomplishments...
WHAT'S NEW?
I posted a query on Facebook asking, "what are your favorite Brobdingnagian Bards songs?"(Vote in the Celtic Geek Facebook group poll)
You see, I was trying to play music on our homepage. But for some reason, the Spotify player stopped working. Yes, there's a LINK to Spotify, but no player.
Wouldn't it be great if you could listen to our music on our website?
So the next podcast episode will be a music one. That's easy peasy to produce and record. After all, I still host the largest podcast for Celtic music in the world. It's not like I don't know how to create such a podcast. hehe.
So stay tuned to the middle of the month. I'm gonna put that episode together. Maybe I'll even include a couple anecdotes...
Or if I can get Andrew to record something...
That'd be amazing! He's the MASTER of ANECDOTES.
Finally, there's a good possibility that there'll be a livestreaming Brobdingnagian Bards concert in April. We'll let you know as soon as we have more details.
If you want to learn more of what's up with Marc Gunn and Andrew McKee, individually, read on...
MARC GUNN NEWS
I am nearly done with my next solo album. It's called Selcouth. I have one more track to record. With any luck, Andrew will record on it. But that's depending on whether he has time. I'm trying to finish it up.
I'm also feeling really proud of my Pub Songs Podcast. This was the fourth podcast I ever created. It's gone through SO MANY revisions and changes. But now it feels better than ever. I share small stories, I sing songs, and I often have a guest.
Last month, I interviewed Bruno from the Celtic rock band Tuatha De Danann. I sang on their rocked up version of "Johnny Jump Up". I also chatted with Devo Spice, a LONGTIME Doctor Who fan, who rapped was on the Brobdingnagian Bards song "I Will Not Sing Along".
I'm also planning some St Patrick's Day episodes starting off with a Top 5 Irish Drinking Songs episode. There's a lot to explore. You can listen and subscribe here.
