SXSW News: Okay, I got a wee bit o'an update regarding cover charge for our South By Southwest Shocase at B.D. Riley's on March 13th. Basically, John Erwin, pub owner, has no control over the cover charge. The way it typically works is that wristband people get first dibs on coming into the venue. If there is room left over in the club, then SXSW officials have the right to let patrons in after paying a cover charge. What that will be, I have no clue.

What I do know is that Weds, March 13th is one of the very first showcases of SXSW, AND it takes place during the Austin Music Awards that will take place at the Austin Music Hall. This means that more than likely, getting into the venue should be no trouble. I don't forsee record labels bashing down the doors. So make sure you come early to the gig and bring some cash.
