Helpers needed for Louisiana Renaissance Festival
In two weeks, we're heading to Hammond, Louisiana for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. This is our first time to perform in Louisiana and we're anxious to see the impact we've already made down there. So make sure to tell your friends to come out in full-force, watch our show and chant (if you can say) Brobdingnagian! We're also in need of a couple people to sell CDs and promote us during our shows in Louisiana. Contact us if you're interested.
Great weekend with a percussion
Texas Renaissance Festival was absolutely amazing this weekend, in part, due to the fact that our good friend Michelle came down from Kansas to drum with us. We had some rocking and rolling shows pumping full of energy and making me miss that she won't be down for the last weekend of TRF. Ah well...But the last weekend is here so make sure ye come out in full-force and catch as many shows as ye can. Make sure ye make the last show in particular when we'll be doing a full-set of song requests. So come prepared to shout out your favorite bard song.
Course one of the other great things about the weekend was the Clan Gunn Ceilidh on Saturday night in Salado. We had one huge sing-a-long with folks who were attending the Salado Highland Games. Great crowd came out. We were even invited to join a compilation CD that the Caledonian Kitchen is compiling. And even had the Houston Highland Games folks pretty excited by our music.
Since we had to drive to Salado, we were pretty durn exhausted by the end of the weekend, but it was a great weekend all around. Thanks to all who came out (like the DJ for the Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter show in Austin.
