Gotta Love Austin! So, what was it, just last week when I was bragging about springtime weather in Austin while the rest of the nation was trapped under feet of snow? Now this morning, UT is closed and our world is covered in beautiful ice.
Well, I ain’t complaining! Last night, I remixed a few Lord of the Rings tribute music. Today, I have all day to do the same. The only sad thing about it is that Andrew’s got most of the music at his place. Blast it!
That’s okay, because I’ve some other stuff to work on, namely, the multimedia CD. We’re putting together a CD of extra stuff for all those dedicated people who pre-ordered the CD as a way of saying, “thank you!”
This’ll include some out-takes and a couple MP3s that of songs that did not make the final cut for various reasons, whether timing or copyright. Plus a bunch more great stuff.
So order your copy soon, and give thanks for foul weather!

Tolkien Alpha Test Is CompleteAndrew and I spent the last couple days bustin' our butts trying to get an Alpha version completed in time for an Alpha listening test last night. It was incredibly exhausting, but well worth it.
All of our Alpha listeners loved what they heard! Yes, there a few dissenting opinions on what and since the Alpha was a bit of a rush job, we really didn't have a decent mix for the songs. But we did get a lot of great feedback and found some unsuspecting gems among the new songs. I'm thrilled.
Course, we do have a bit o'cleanup to do. So this week, we'll work our tales off to get the Beta version done and maybe by next week, we'll ship it off to the duplicators. Oy! Are we done yet? I'm ready to pass out!

Brobdingnagian TriviaHi Marc. Along with having a daughter (Blair a/k/a "Shiver the Winter Fairy" from TRF, who bought a CD from you on final night for my birthday), I'm also a huge National Trivia Network (NTN) player. A week or so after TRF ended, a question popped up on what "Brobdingnagian" now means. (Understand we're playing against thousands of players across the U.S. and Canada, and Catbirds in Houston is one of the nationally-recognized teams.)
I'm not sure the rest of the team appreciated it when I yelled out "The Bards!" before giving the accepted definition, but I sure enjoyed it. (And we got the answer right.) --Brooke

Leonardo da Vinci, the DraftsmanLeonardo da Vinci is in my opinion one of the most amazing artists ever. His vision and ingenuity despite his lack of completed works makes him stand out as an incredible artist. That's why when I found this website focusing on the Leonardo da Vinci, the draftsman, I had show ye.
It has lots of pictures of his drawings, plus, you can even zoom in to see the art closer. Great site for those who love art or one of the most innovative artists ever, Leonardo da Vinci.

A Celtic Renaissance Wedding tops the Charts for Valentine's DayThe holiday hasn't even yet arrived, but people are flocking to purchase a copy of this wonderful compilation featuring many of our romantic songs. It's so popular, in fact, that it's not too far behind guitar guru, Eric Johnson, who holds the #1 CD, at #15 on the MP3.com CD charts making it our most-popular CD sold online to date.
So if you're looking for something special on Valentine's Day, consider A Celtic Renaissance Wedding. You may be pleasantly surprised.
