Last December, I played at a House Concert in Missouri. It was a blast! Everyone left the house totally psyched from the evening. I realized then it was a great way to break into new markets.
This summer, we're kicking off our first big House Concert in Louisiana. Jamie Haeuser, a Nagian we met at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival is offered her home up as a venue.
Right now, we're looking for people in the East Louisiana area who'd like to join the fun. Head on over there and reserve your spot for one of the coolest times you'll find.
What's so cool about house concerts?
Imagine for a moment. There's a knock at your front door. You open the door and see two smiling bards wearing kils. We stand at the entrance packed down with autoharp, recorder, and mandolin.
You invite us into your home. Then we join you for drinks in your living room as we chat and wait for more people to arrive. There are more knocks at the door. Slowly, your friends and fellow Nagians arrive for the show. There are about 25 people sitting in chairs, on the floor, on the couch when we start playing.
There is no blaring sound system. No rain, or the background sound of paintball guns, or cars driving by. No. It's a personal performance at Your home.
Two hours later, you're all a glow. You've been laughing, smiling, mesmerized by ever word you hear just ten feet from you.
That's a house concert! And they totally rock.
Right now, we're looking for people who'd like to host house concerts in Houston, Dallas, and wherever you live. All we need is you to contact us and let us know and we'll work with you to make it happen.
Oh! And if you want more information about house concerts, I put together a webpage to help you learn more.
