Ever hear the name Michael Robertson? Michael was the genius behind the former digital music giant MP3.com before Vivendi took it over and killed it.
Now Michael is back in the digital arena working with our favorite independent music retailer CDBaby.com. He just launched a new store called MP3Tunes.com, and we're on it.
This is sounding pretty exciting. Before the Major Labels attacked the site, there were over a million artists, and we were one of the Top 10 on that website.
This new websites offers much of what sites like iTunes and Napster don't offer. They sell you MP3s at 192kbps. That means you're getting higher fidelity recordings than you would on iTunes or Napster. Plus, the files aren't packed with anti-pirating features which means you can burn our music to multiple compilation CDs.
To be blunt, MP3Tunes.com does what most sites don't do. It offers you a good, solid, reliable service that is about independent music and the independent music fan. It offers you a service.
I suspect this site is gonna do what MP3.com did once upon a time. It's gonna shake up the digital music industry. Music fans no longer have to rely on big record companies to manipulate their music tastes. Music fans can think for themselves.
If you want to save money by downloading our music online, this is the way to go. Head over to the Brobdingnagian Bards site at MP3Tunes.com.
