Webster's Word of the Day Is... "Brobdingnagian"

Looks like our favorite English word, "Brobdingnagian" is being recognized in Webster Dictionary's Word of the Day.

Yes. The word IS in the dictionary.

Where did we learn the word?

Well of course there's Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. But Andrew first recognized the word from a comic in the newspaper where a boy who was reading a lot says to his concerned mother, "Your corpulence is very brobdingnagian." Andrew looked it up in the dictionary, and wow! There it was. It means "marked by great size" or a big word meaning "big".
