The Few. The Proud.
The Freaks of Nature Who Can Say Brobdingnagian.

At I-CON 21, Andrew and I decided it was time to start keeping track of those rare people who actually knew how to say "brobdingnagian" correctly without ever having known who we were.

For those of you who haven't looked it up in the dictionary, "brobdingnagian" means "marked by great size". It comes from Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. Most might remember the Lilliputians, the little people, but many often forget the big guys, the Brobdingnagians. The word was so popular that it entered the English Dictionary. Gulliver's Travels had more words enter the dictionary than any other book, including lilliputian and yahoo. Look 'em up.
